Apartment Review for Bermuda Estates Apartment - Sarasota, FL

The apartment complex has no water pressure, poor construction, useless staff members, and they will rip you off for every penny they can get. They lied upon my move out about damage to try to fine me for money.

I signed a 14 month lease because of the discount they offered. Big mistake. Shortly after I found out that all of my neighbors were moving out because they couldn't stand the place. The floor of my apartment remained empty except for myself for most of my time there. I unfortunatley could not afford the $4,000 it would have cost me to break my lease.

My roof above my closet flooded my apartment and it took them 2 months to get it fixed with claims of trying to get there warrenty value. I lived with green walls( mold and mildew). Because there was no water pressure, I couldn't use my dish washer because the dishes came out dirtier than they went in.

If you are on the 3rd floor, you will have problems with birds or mice above your head. I'm not sure which one it was but there were many nights I heard scuttling above my head.

I am an engineer, and as widely known by the industry, if you are constructing a building above 2 stories tall, you must install booster pumps. In addition, it does not take 2 years to design and permit such a modification to the building.

The cost is way too high for what you get.
