When I first moved into the complex, I was completely happy with the look of the apartment complex. The fountains at the rental office give off an aura that the place is fantastic. I asked my contact at the complex if there had been a lot of crimes in the complex and she said she could not disclose but I was more than welcome to call the Police Department and get a report (Police must give you this information). Well, after living here a week or two I realized the nice bonus of a gym had everything broken inside and people will go in there to hang out at night to escape parents or make "deals" in the gym. The lock had been broken and people were going in and out of the gym without keys - I ended up joining a gym and paying an extra $50 a month for a real gym. After two months - There were people coming out of the apartments and fooling around with the cars outside of the complex, this being my first time in an apartment complex - I went to the complex instead of calling the cops. The complex was very uncaring and brushed it off saying there was nothing they can do about people messing around with the cars. After four months - My hub caps, as well as at least 3-4 other cars hubcaps, had been stolen during the night, and one had their tires slashed. I have a nicer car and this began to make me worried other things would happen to my car. The cops were called when I found the hubcaps missing, but the cops barely did anything and the complex all that the apartment contact did was say ohh awww thats too bad. yah sorry. and did nothing for me or anyone else for that matter- they could care less what had happened to their residents. Then last night I saw a car get broken into and have thousands of dollars worth of things stolen from it. This is where I warn you - the prospective resident...you need to spend the time on your research on this one - there are a lot of burglaries and as the economy drops the acts get worse. The complex has no gates and is visible from the highway - so many people must know the complex never had repercussions for any acts - so they target this complex in particular. If you do not care about your belongings, feel free- move in. But if you do not want anything to happen to your things - pay the extra $100 or even less and move into a nice apartment complex in Palmer Ranch. Because that $100 is worth what will be stolen and your personal safety. Not to mention - everything in the apartment begins to fall apart when you move in.
