Apartment Review for Mayfair - Sarasota, FL

These apartments are made of cardboard! There is NO insulation between floors. They said they couldn't put any in because of the sprinkler system - what a crock. I've lived in apartments all my life and I don't ever remember noise like this! You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do, including conversations, going to the bathroom and sex. The ceilings creek, crack and pop when they walk and they sound like elephants. Everytime someone flushes you think their toilet is going to fall through the ceiling. The windows are cheap, get condensation and leave puddles on the sill. The wind is loud as well. I can't understand why ALL of the apartments are built like this now a days. It's not fair for people who can't afford or choose not to buy a house, not that these are any more affordable! Don't get me started on the price of rent - can you say RIPOFF?! And now these are going condo (Saratoga Place). No one would tell us anything. Like we couldn't tell when building inspectors started coming and they started painting & re-paving. Give us some credit. BEWARE - don't waste your money unless you are deaf. And good luck finding somewhere to rent that's not going condo and worth your hard-earned money. God help the greedy!!!
