Apartment Review for The Lexington Apartments - Sarasota, FL

we have lived here for 5 months of our 7 month lease and i HATE THIS PLACE. we have been screwed over several times and it is just a miserable place to live. We have loud neighbors who play music very loudly at obscene hours and you can't ask them to turn it off because they don't understand any english. they and their friends also loiter in the parking lot and the area around my car is always littered with beer bottles, etc. both of the pools are currently closed because of mold and algae, there is no sort of fitness center and the washing machines in the laundry room are expensive, generally all broken or they stink with standing dirty water. we now just go to the local laundromat. the whole building is falling apart: from an aesthetic point of view, they are ugly looking and the plaster and shutters are falling off the building. the whole complex is in desperate need of an overhaul. additionally, we have had bad service from the management even before we moved in. once we had sent in our application fees it was very difficult to have them return our calls (we were moving from out of state so we could not visit in person). they pressured us to sign our lease before we even looked at a unit, the very first day our dishwasher overflowed, we have had a/c problems, oven problems, and most recently, they accepted a package for us at the clubhouse and then lost it by the time we went to pick it up...they told us too bad, and we are supposed to suck up the $130 cost of the package. we will be bidding good riddance to this place in a few months and will not be missing it. YOU SUCK LEXINGTON!
