Apartment Review for The Lexington Apartments - Sarasota, FL

My family is new to florida and we were in a time crunch to find a new place to live. Being new, we did not know the area well and thought we were finding a great home at the Lexington. What a mistake!! The place is run down, moldy, and poorly maintained. The moldy situation is the worse and caused me and my family considerable health problems. We had one bathroom that was literally unusable due to the stench of mold and old plumbing. The community is noisy, annoying, and my family did not feel comfortable leaving the apartment. I fortunately did have 2 neighbors that were wonderful and they also shared my opinion on the Lexington. One neighbor had air conditioning duct problems resutling in her becoming ill so she had the health department come out to investigate since the Lexington would not fix the problem for her. The health department informed her that the Lexington is the 2nd worse apartment complex in Sarasota and that it should be demolished. Needless to say, my family is OUT of here when our 7-month lease is up which is next month. (Thank God)
