Apartment Review for The Lexington Apartments - Sarasota, FL

My family has lived here for 4 years and have always had to fight with management to get things fixed. We had to wait over 5 months to get a hole fixed in the ceiling that was caused from a leak in the roof. Another reviewer stated that a dead duck layed on the side of the road for four days... I was the one who finally buried it, not the mainenance crew (which is non-existant by the way). My deadbold broke and I had to replace it myself. Management could have cared less that I couldn't lock my apartment. So much for feeling secure in your own home. We also had to live in extreme heat conditions for about 2 weeks until management finally replaced the air handler. And now we are at the end of our lease and are being told that they will no longer offer 7 and 12 month leases, only month-to-month renting. Needless to say, we are very unhappy with the constant management changes, lack of maintenance, noisy and crowded common areas, and general lack of up-keep. I would never reccommend this place, not even to my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a big headache and stay away from these apartments.
