Apartment Review for The Lexington Apartments - Sarasota, FL

These people who get on here and write bad reviews just have bad opinions about everything in their lives. Yes, there is a large crowd of Mexican- Americans here, but to say they are illegal is impossible to be true. You must present a social security number for a credit and background check upon applying. Maybe these people who don't like them here, just are upset because the living is cheap enough and nice enough to call home for someone trying to move into a house. I'm sorry that Burger King only pays you enough to live here, but welcome to sunny Sarasota, Florida, buddy. You're close to Mexico so you should expect that they live here. And good for them. As far as the living with the bugs, my fiance and I keep our apartment clean and see an occassional roach. By occassional, I mean once every two months. There is pest control yes, but the best pest control is to clean up after yourself. Saying there are a lot of bugs doesn't imply that the apartments are dirty, it implies that YOU are dirty. The remodeling was a slap-together job, that I agree with. But the apartments do look great, just a few kinks that the maintainence team has to work out. The maintainence team comes within an hour to fix anything, even if it's something as simple as a kitchen lightbulb to be changed or air-conditioning filter. The laundry room is not small, you just have to go at the right time. I have done laundry with no problem at all, every time I went down there. The people who are upset with living here, are the ones who are upset because their low paying job kept them from either buying, or renting someplace more expensive(not necessarily nicer either). Just go in and take a look, the friendly staff here showed us an apartment with no problem. Construction is wrapping up so that will be cleared up. What a great place to live.
