Apartment Review for Turnbury Park Apartments - Sarasota, FL

We lived at Turnbury Park for 3 years (2004-2007). For the first 1 1/2 years the apartment complex was top notch. After a failed condo conversion attempt and new management the complex has undergone a complete transformation but in the wrong direction. Rude and inattentive office staff. Sky rocketing rental rates. Horrible security (i.e. the main gates were functional @ 3 months of the last 18, minimal street lights, and spikes of recent criminal activity). Nonexistent apartment complex upkeep (i.e. the landscaping has yet to be repaired from 2004 hurricane season). It is an absolute shame that this new management has let this previously and potentially wonderful complex go to shambles. I urge anyone to not rent at Turnbury Park. There are many places is the same vicinity that have much better reputations.
